Here i would like to share to you how I make a 3d Glossy button. This button (at left side picture) you can apply in your wallpaper later on.
To make this button compose of very few commands. You can use eith
er Photoshop 6, 7 or CS1 - CS4.
So here I is the steps I listed for you.
1. Open your Photoshop (Photoshop 7, CS – CS4).
Set your color white (Default color). Then select the Photoshop Polygon Tool from the tool bar as you can see from the right image. It looks like Hexagon in shape and click at the center of your working space but at the same time make sure that you press also shift key on your keyboard so your hexagon will stay at horizontal position and drag you cursor to your desired size of the hexagon just like the second image below.

2. Double click the Layer Style to open the Layer Style Option Box. Check Bevel Emboss and adjust the size to 8. Check also the Contour box.

3. Select the Satin option and check the Satin check box. From the option adjust the capacity to 100%., angle 19 degrees, Distance 15, Size increase to 18 and the contour style as you can see from the image. Then click OK to close the Layer style dialog box. Note that if your Satin result is not like as in the image – just adjust the Size and Distance by increasing or decrease it until you match almost the same satin as in the image.

4. Create new Layer and set to current or working layer.
5. Select Polygon Lasso Tool from the tool bar and make a figure the same as I did in the image.

6.Then Select bucket tool – note that before you applied the white color to the lasso selection you must first set the capacity to 50% then applied it. This will make the button look glossy.

7. Press Control + D to deselect.

8.The result – 3d glossy button.
You can try it. After you finish making the 3d button, you can then applied it into your wallpaper just as I did (See the image below). You can adjust the size of the button to different sizes by using Control + T command or even the color. See my sample graphic wallpaper. You can also try different figure if you want.
